'TILL DEATH DO US' TOUR DIARY AUGUST 6 BIRMINGHAM @ THE MEDICINE BAR, England Weather:HOTTISH "LAST SHOW OF THE TOUR" To make a long story short and due to circumstances beyond our control this will be the last show of the tour. Over all the tour has been a great success and we'd like to thank everyone for thier support. We'll be back real soon. Better and smellier than ever. It's kind of fitting that we end our tour in the city we call our second home. We've spent alot...alot...of time in this city and it's good to go out from here. The club is cool with a great sound. This is an all day festival and we were lucky to get on at the last minute. We take the stage pretty early but that doesn't seem to the crowd. The place fills up about 15 seconds into "Uncle Bush". The stage is set for an amazing good bye show. We tear the fuck out of the entire set and it's an amazing way to end the tour. A big thanks to all the people who made it out to our last show. Thanks to Newbreed and the Newbreedettes, Jeff from Against The Wheel et al, our boys from Telford RESPECT!, Harriet, Rachel and everyone else for an incredible night. That's how you end a tour! It would be impossible to thank everyone individually so we'd just like to say thanks to everyone who helped us along the way on this tour. Thanks for listening and believing! We'll see you all again. One last thanks to everyone back home who made this tour possible! We'll see you soon. PEACE AUGUST 5 GRAVESEND @ THE RED LION, England Weather:HOTTISH "GET THEM SLEEVES OFF!...OR DEAL WITH RHYME MASTER JOEY JOE JOE TOASTER FACE" So this one could get ugly...will get ugly. After a wicked day of relaxing and eating(read recovering) we head to the club for an early load in. We get to the club around 5 and look who's beat us to the bar...DENOUNCE. Suprise suprise. This is gonna be one for the books. As we wait for Mr Vic to show up with the big rig we sip a few beverages and talk metal. That's how you spend an afternoon. As the drinks flow we all fall victim to a DENOUNCE tradition. NO SLEEVES ALLOWED. Not only does Rhyme Master Joey Joe Joe Toaster Face have the best name in metal he also so has the greatest ability to rip the sleeves clean off your shirt. Still not clear as to why all the sleeves gotta go but they do. These guys were ripping the sleeves off of people that had just bought thier first DENOUNCE shirts. "Thanks for buying a shirt...now get them sleeves off". Classic. The only shirt that survived was Vic's Zeroscape shirt. Jizzle's platic "disco" shirt took a little extra work. Had to be cut off and then when we tried to burn it it just melted into a pool of platic and stuck to the pavement. Tonight is bass night. Rhymes and Macnizzow combine thier amps for a a towering 12X10 cabinet. I know you loved it Vic...even as you were shaking you head...and banging it off the wall. We might not know how to utilize the concept of the wheel but we know how to build a wall of bass. Show time! DENOUNCE kick the night off with the heaviest set you could ever imagine. These guys were on fire! Heavy as FUCK! What a great way to start the night. All of us were in the pit for the whole set...you couldn't help but stay in there and go nuts. These guys are incredible. Check them out! Till next year boys...in Japan. Now it's our turn and we can't let the crowd breath for even a second. We've got shoes to fill. We decide to go with our "punch 'em in the face" set and the night is on. The crowd was absolutley on point. We never let up the whole night and either did they. What a rush. We end the night with "SHHH!" and "AND IF THIS IS THE END I WILL" with the crowd going nuts with us. Everyone in the place was jumping with us and it was great. Thanks to all our friends that made it out. You're the man Colin! Thanks to all the new friends we made too. The last thanks and the biggest thanks goes to our man Vic. Without a doubt this guy has been behind us from day one and we can't thank him enough for his belief in us. Thanks man! Someday we'll be able to pay you back for all the generosity and support. If there is ever anything we can do(aside from actually doing something for you) just let us know! SUPPORT DEFZONE...SUPPORT VIC WINTERGREEN! PEACE AUGUST 4 CHATHAM @ THE COMMAND HOUSE, England Weather:WARMISH "BACK IN THE LAND OF THE VIC" We head down south to familiar territory. The whole Kent area has been great to us. The crowds are always great and the shows are always a blast and you can thank...or blame...our always returning here on one man...Vic Wintergreen. This man is the shit. He runs the local music scene with a determination and love of music that is inspiring.(Plus he has a crush on Macnizzow) TO ALL THE PROMOTERS OUT THERE...BE LIKE VIC. After meeting up with some friends from last year for some incredible spanish omlette and soup(thanks Tyra) it's time to head to the venue to begin what will be a two day farewell party. When we get to the club the first person we see is Greg from DENOUNCE. Well into the pints...we got there at 4...the man is ready to go. If you don't remember us talking about Denounce last year then you better remember this year. These guys were one of our favourite bands to play and party with last year and this year looks like it's only gonna get better. The First band "Kick Kick Murder Squad" open up the night with a wicked set. Now it's DENOUNCE time. HOLY SHIT! These guys were amazing last year and this year they are even better. It's a fuckin pleasure to share the stage with these guys. It ain't easy going on stage after these guys but they've got us so pumped up that we gotta take it up one more level. We hit the stage running and don't stop. The sound is loud and proud. We spend the night playing to alot of familiar faces from last year. These guys are incredible. Big shout out to Colin for making it down man. This guys is classic. Thanks to Ted(who also may or may not have a man crush on Macnizzow) for coming up for Hollywood...always a great to hear you in that song...not good to hear you talking but its good to hear you in that song. Tyra, Sam, Staz and everyone I might have missed, you guys are the best. The show is great and now it's time for the after show show. Off to the Tap n' Tin for a few hours of chaos. Thanks again to Vic and his minions for another greast show! It's almost like you know what you're doing. Noice one! Tomorrow is round 2. PEACE AUGUST 3 BIRKENHEAD @ HOTEL CALIFORNIA, England Weather:UNWARMER "HELLO BIRKENHEAD...IT'S GOOD TO STILL BE HERE" After another night at hotel Tesco we are ready to rip the B'head a new B hole. The city is smallish and it has some sort of hate on for internet but we find a library and get some work done early...now it's show time! The club is great. Big stage and big sound. The night plays out in text book fashion...the last thing a rock bands wants. The show is good and tight but there was really no fire...no hidden suprises. It's all good cause you gotta be careful what you wish for...but. We head down to some familiar territory tomorrow but we can't leave without saying a big thanks to the people that came out for both shows. RESPECT. PEACE AUGUST 2 BIRKENHEAD @ THE HEX , England Weather:UNWARM "SUPRISE SHOW...SUPRISE!" AHHH The Hex. We had some great shows here last year so we can't wait to get and tear it up. There are once again new owners who have done a great job getting the place back up and running after a fire. We weren't meant to play there this year cause we thought it had burned down but this is a nice suprise. Our man the DJ has the place jumping early. He likes it LOUD...so do we. We hit the stage about 8:30 for an early set. The club is rammed with kids and it feels good to see some familiar faces. We tear up the stage and it feels good. Thanks to everyone in the front row for the energy. We'll see you all next year...or tomorrow when we play Birkenhead again. PEACE AUGUST 1 LONDON @ THE CARTOON , England Weather:NOT WARM "CARTOONISH BE THY NAME" The return to London is a double edge sword. The city itself is amazing but sometimes the crowds can be...how you say...lacking. When we get to the club we are really impressed with the set up. There is a good sized stage and the PA is wicked. After doing a sound check we know full well that the sound is gonna be sweet. Enter the "crowd" We said "ENTER THE CROWD!"...(sound of crickets here)...ah but wait...here comes some people now. We gotta give a huge shout out to our friends from North London for coming all the way down to see us and for making the night really cool. You guys made it for us. Till next year! PEACE JULY 30 MALTON @ WORLD SOCCER PITCH , England Weather:WARM "ALLO WORLD CUP II" Well after a good 3 hours sleep in the vabus we figure we'll wait for the Sams of England to show up with some lame ass excuse as to why we can't play. "It looks like rain so we better not start" was one of them. "You Canadians are far superior footballers" was another. So after an hour of begging them to play they finally give in. To the fields! The whistle blows and the game is on. MacNizzow drops like a stone...30 secs into the game...after one kick of the ball...not a pretty sight. The other guys pick up the slack but we fall short in the first game. The second game is a different story. With JizZle in net and MacNizzow out of the first aid tent the stench...i mean skill proves to be to much for the Brits. The second game is another close one but it goes to Canada. The final game of the finals. This one is pretty ugly. The Brits rely heavily on thier skills while we fall back on our luck of having them miss the net with every shot. Time to introduce the concept of elbowing...hockey styles. This works well as we take a 4-1 lead. The winning goal has to be a good one...and Binski and Nuts connect on beauty. After stripping the ball from Sam, Nuts heads for the net and crosses to Binski. Binski kicks the ball with the back of his left foot past the keeper and Canada takes the cup! We'll give team England another year to practice...you guys should use it wisely. Thanks again for everything guys...we had a great time and we won't forget all you did. PEACE JULY 29 MALTON @ SUDDABY'S , England Weather:CLOUDY "ALL THE MALE CHILDREN MUST BE NAMED SAM...JOHN 2:11" So it seems that everyone in the Yorkshire region is named Sam, which is cool cause you know you'll always get the guys name right. So it's kinda by fluke that we end up here considering we were meant to play in the bigger city of York like we did last year. That's were we met Sam...and Sam...and Sam. We played a couple of times with them and we were gonna do the same this year but things all worked out better this way. The Sams open up the night with an acoustic set(actually thier are other names but we'll leave the Sams thing going just for a bit of a laugh...you guys know who you are). The place fills up quick and by the looks of it these people came out to mosh. And mosh is exactly what they do. They were jumping and singing from the first note of Uncle Bush. This song is kinda our unofficial opener right now. It just gets the people moving. By the time we're into Outnumbered the crowd is chanting ZEROSCAPE and screaming thier throats out. That's what we like to hear! By the end of And If This Is The End I Will we are totally soaked and so is the crowd. Going mental right till the last note. Thanks to everyone for sharing the luv and you know we'll be back. Till next year. Thanks to everyone in the town for all the generosity and kindness. You guys are wicked. Tomorrow we'll be representing Canada in the real world cup. During the after party the English challenge us...fools...and of course we accept...gotta thank the bartenders for all the free drinks. I predict Canada wins 3 games to 2. We'll let you no tomorrow. PEACE JULY 28 NUNEATON @ THE NAG'S HEAD , England Weather:CLOUDY "NUNEATON HER?...HAVEN'T EVEN STARTED YET" So this is day 2 of a 3 day that should be pretty cool. We get to head back to one of our favourite clubs. This place always treats us great. The sound is amazing and the crowds are always good. On top of all that we'll be playing with our brothers NEWBREED. What more could ya ask for. I keep forgetting the soundman's name but this guy always has the place sounding wicked. We pass on soundchecking cause we know buddy will do it up right. We were right. After Newbreed rip the shit outta the stage, man they are sounding great, it's up to us to try and keep the crowd pumped. We start with Uncle Bush Wants You and right away we can see the bodies moving. It's cool to see some familiar faces singing along and it's relly cool to see the new faces singing too. Before the 3rd song(Skank & Live) we've got people up on stage with us, mashing it up large. The night goes off with out a hitch and the crowd let's us know we got'em. Thanks to you guys for an amazing night. We'll be seeing you Newbreed fuckers again real soon! PEACE JULY 27 LUTON @ THE WELL , England Weather:CLOUDY "AFTER THE BRUM" After spending another off day/night in our favourite city Brimingham we head down towards London. It was a good day off, we got to see some old friends and we got to get some work done too. This city has almost everything and it's not really all that expensive(Birmingham not London). Finding the club is easy...only 5 loops of the city and we're there. We've played in som ehot clubs before but this one might be the hottest. It felt like they had the heat on even before the poeple and bands showed up. It would get even hotter. After some dealing with some bullshit from one of the other bands, they don't deserve to have thier name up here but they know who they are, we get the set times sorted out and the night starts. So the first band goes on, they "had" to play first cause they had stuff to do in the morning. This is the band that we're supposed to be sharing gear with. They end thier weak, carbon-copy set and start to take all thier gear outside. Not only leaving us short one cab but they do this during the other bands set. No respect for anybody. That is a BIG problem over here. Alot of bands just play thier set leave. No support or respect for the other bands or music in general. Makes you sick to your stomach. These guys should be ashamed. Pathetic. On to better things. Novacaine take the stage and man are these guys good. Thier set is great. The big bass man is silky smooth and the rest of the band is great too. These are types of bands you like sharing the stage with. We hit the stage a little pissed off and the energy did domething cause we exploded and the crowd came along for the ride. You guys were awesome. It was like an oven in there but you guys stayed moshing and jumping right till the end. WICKED! Thank to Aidan for the show, we'll be back soon. PEACE JULY 25 CHESTER @ DEVA MAIL CLUB , England Weather:HOT? IN ENGLAND? "WHAT A LOVELY ACCENT YOU HAVE...WELCOME TO ENGLAND" And back we go down to England to finish off the last 5 weeks of the tour. Back to where it all started. Suprisingly it's still really hot. Last year when we were finishing off here it was really cold. Nice to still have some summer. The club is pretty cool. The stage is a good size and the sound guys are on point. If nothing else, we're gonna sound good tonight. After sound check. We feast on some bread and hot sause. Now it's stage time. The crowd is pretty small. "Crowd" might not be the right word. Let's just say we appreciate Morbid Curiosity for sticking around, you guys were cool, and we'd also like to thank the 3 ladies in the front row for staying till the bitter end. You guys are the reason we do what we do. Thanks PEACE JULY 23 DUNDEE @ THE DOG HOUSE , Scotland Weather:SUNNY AND COOL "F*ING RAD" After a sleeples night we make our way to Dundee for yet another first in ZEROSCAPE land...@ 15mph. The rad is f*d still. we gotta pull over every 2 miles to fill it. The city is nice enough and the venue is really cool. Wicked stage and sound. The night is set and we're ready to let off some steam. Thanks to all the bands for moshing with us and especially for lending MacNizzow the bass. Not sure if it's been mentioned but his bass was destroyed in the car crash. This will be the last show before he gets a loaner for the rest of the tour from his good friend Mogli. Thanks Mogli...you're a life saver...and not one of the shitty green ones...one of the good flavours...like pineapple. Thanks man. Thanks to Bob, Brian and Mr Mann for making it out too. You guys are great. One last big thanks to all the kids up front on this night...you guys were the shit! Thank you Scotland! PEACE JULY 22 PORT KNOCKIE @ TIMMYFEST , Scotland Weather:SUNNY AND COOL "THE GOOD...THE BAAAHD...THE HORRIFIC" So this day of days starts out innocently enough. We have an amazing feast for breakfast at the Mann Estate and then slowly pack up for first trip up to the Highlands. We are playing the first ever Timmyfest and we're pretty excited to get up to the North Sea. We didn't get up to the Highlands last year so this will be one more item checked off the list. We're heading out in 2 cars today cause we're taking our good friends and now roadies Mogli, Bob and Brian. Mogli will lead the way...in the wrong direction but that's a little later on. No worries guys, we'll teach you the geography of your own country. So before we hit the highway Mogli just has to say "Oh ya, they say that this is the deadliest highway in all of the UK". Nice fore shadowing. The drive is going pretty smoothly...lot's of traffic but we've got lot's of time and lot's of new music. We also have a lot less conversation going on...ahhh sweet relief. LOOK OUT...A SHEEP! Too late. A goddam sheep runs out onto the highway with no warning at all. The car in front of Mogli's slams on the breaks narrowly missing the sheep. Mogli swirves out into the other lane to avoid the car and hit the sheep sending it head over heels across the road. A really nice piece of driving cause if he woulda kept going straight it would have been disastorous. That left Binski with only one option, try and hit the breaks. He was able to slow us down enough that when we hit the other car the impact was strong but not nearly what it could have been. Nicely done. We were all really relieved to see everyone get out of thier cars safe and sound, especially the baby from the car in front of us. Even the dam sheep walked away from the accident unscathed. Nuts was able to patch up the vabus enough to get us to the next town. Thanks to the Police for all the help in gettin gus to the garage and to the garage for staying open late to fix us up! Rad number 3. You guys saved the trip. So we get back on the raod north and continue our trip. Here is where Scotland gets tricky...for people from Scotland that is. It's time for the leaders to become followers. It's alright boys, there's no shame in learning. Just because you've lived here your whole lives and we've only been here a couple of times, that doesn't mean you should know the country any better than we do...well yes it does but we don't mind showing you the way. Finally the North Sea is in sight. We find the field and the festival really easy so it's time to unload and set up for the night. So from here on in the night becomes hard to describe. We would like to thank all of the people there that help us rock the stage. You people were great. Welcome to our family. Your enthusiasm and warmth won't be tainted by what happened at the end of the night. We hope we will see you people again some day. It is here that we would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and families affected and devistated by the horrific incident of this night. We will do anything and everything we can to help. PEACE JULY 21 DUNBLANE @ THE COMMUNITY CENTER , Scotland Weather:SUNNY AND COOL "GOOD BYE SUMMER...HELLO GOOD FRIENDS" IT's really cool...both literally and metaphorically(thanks Brian)...to be back here. Dunblane is where we played our first ever show in Scotland last year. We met some incredible people here last year and it's really great to see them again. It's cool to welcome a few new faces into the family too. Even Brian. The show itself it pretty cool. We know this place well now and so we know what to expect. The sound is good tonight(thanks Bob) and the people are ready to go. Once again everyone in the place is up and jumping by the end of SHHH!. It's great to see familiar faces up jumping and singing. Thanks guys. Thanks to Mogli again for the show! Now last year at about this time we would be heading back to the Mann estate for one of their legendary after parties but this year everyone decides that tonight just isn't the night. But we end up there for some great food and getting caught up. Innocently enough the night turns into a whiskey tasting contest. The whiskey was incredible and the winners of the contes have to be Mr Mann and Jizzle. The two of them close the night out cranking up Jethro Tull and talking about drummers in a whiskey induced haze. A huge thanks to the entire Mann family for all of your kindness. It's nice to feel at home when you're so far away. You do it every time with the food, kindness and generosity. Thanks for all the support and friendship. Till next year eh!?! PEACE JULY 20 PERTH @ ANGRY MIC'S , Scotland Weather:SUNNY "A HIDDEN JEM AND A MONSTAR" Our good friend Mogli has been helping us a tonne with the Scottish dates and this one ends up being a wicked last minute addition. The stage is a good size and our man Chick takes great care of us from the start. Feels like we're back in Germany cause he lines us up with some pizza and beers as soon as we walk in the door. Good start. We decide to pass on sound check for a couple of reasons. One is we hear the other bands check and we know the sound is gonna be great and two, becuase Binski has decided to lock his amp head in the van...along with our one and only set of keys. It turns out that his years of doing this has made him great at breaking in and getting the keys back...that's why they call him the jacker...at least we hope that's why they call him the jacker. With the keys and amp in hand we're ready to tear the stage up. We end up playing a pretty short set, 6 songs. The sets are short here cause alot of the places close at 11 and you have to get 3 bands on. But it all works out really well and the set goes great. After our now customary getting the crowd to chant "Fuck you ZEROSCAPE" right before SKANK AND LIVE we hit the rest of the night running. Thanks to everyone up front moshing! Thanks to Chick for the amazing and unbelievably loud sound. We'll see you in Montreal. Enter the Monstar. Here we'd like to thank Monstar Amy for being so cool to us. Thanks for the after party and the after after party and for showing us where everything was the next day. Oh ya, and for letting us overstay our welcome right in to the afternoon cooking in your house. We owe you one solid. We'll see you soon! PEACE JULY 18-19 GLASGOW @ THE IRISH SEA , Scotland Weather:SUNNY AND HOT "R'n'R on the Irish Sea" Hey all, we're back on line and the updates need some updating. To start it off we spent a couple of days relaxing and decompressing after our incredible run in Europe. We just chilled at our good friends place in Glasgow. We spent most of the days reading metal magazines and listening to music. It might not seem like much but we were in heaven. Just some time to zone out. We headed to the beaches of Scotland too. You might not hear alot of people saying that they are heading to the beaches of Scotland but we did it. We swam in the Irish Sea(a close second to the Mediterranean) and won the UK frisbee championships while we were at it. Not a bad couple of days. A huge thank you to Mogli, Vickie and Kerel for letting us hang for a couple of days and for all your generosity and hospitality. You guys are amazing and it was cool to see you again. Mogli saved the day by giving us his old cd player for the vabus. You don't know how much that means to us. NO MORE TALKING! Thank you kind sir. PEACE JULY 16-17 GLOBE TRAVELLING @ WORLD, Earth Weather:SUNNY "MISSION TIME...BALINGEN TO PARIS TO GLASGOW" This is gonna be a trip. We're scheduled to meet with our label(Bad Reputation Records) president Eric Coubard in Paris around 8. We wake up late in Balingen and we need to make up some time. Luckily we have a print out from mapquest...in German. After back tracking only once, we are on course and making good time. It's a 9hr trip to Paris and Nuts pulls it off with only a few fits of blind rage. We get into Paris around 7:30 and head to the base of the Eiffel Tower for the meeting. It's good to see Eric again and it's good to be back in Paris. We talk some business over a few beers and then head for some real french food. Steak Frites for everyone. Thanks Eric. We talk some more strategy and then it's off to Calais to catch a boat. We aren't even half way done our "day" yet. We set out for the coast around 10:30. The boat leaves at 11:45 and it's a 3 hour drive...nice math guys. Binksi takes the wheel around 12:30 and we make the last stretch to the boat. Just a little late but we figure we'll just catch the next boat. We need to hit the next one so we can make the 10hr drive up to Glasgow. So after being told we can't a get a ride across the channel till 7am we decide to grab a little sleep. We finally get on our boat and hit the shores of the UK around 9:30am. It's good to be back but we have along drive ahead so there ain't no time for dipping our toes in the water. The traffic is shit as we get up around London but we push through and end up making it to Scotland in good time. It's really good to be back here. We had some great shows last time and it'll be good to meet up with some old friends too. We head into Glasgow with only an address and one G-Pie-S system. It's in his blood...his Scottish blood. We find the club with no problem and load in. Aye Glasgow. The show is right in the heart of the city and the city is always alive. Thier are 3 other bands on the bill and all are really good. The set is solid and the voices are coming back. The club is small so the sweat and stench is flowing. It's a good night. It's good to see Mogli and Bob and everyone else from the Dunblane crew. It's gonna be a great week in Scotland. "BUT YOU KENNY TAKE MY FREEEEEEEEDOM". Aye PEACE JULY 15 BALINGEN @ SONNEN KELLER, Germany Weather:HOT "SAD BUT TRUE" So here it is already...our last show in Germany for this leg of the "TILL DEATH DO US TOUR 2006". The time is just flying by now. The people of Germany have been incredible to us and we can't wait to get back here again. The club is in the cellar of an old building. That's how we do hardcore. The crew helps us set up fast and Flo and the guys from No Code are cool right from the start. It's gonna be a good night. As we go through sound check we realize that Binski's voice is pretty much shot so we gotta come up with a plan B. After some silent screaming from Binski we decide to add "ANYTHING AT ALL" to the set and Binski will sing what he can during the rest. A couple of the songs end up instrumental and they sound really good just the same. Lot's of energy It's also decided that Macnizzow would take over some of the lead vocals on a couple of songs and that Nuts would fill in for some background vocals too. What a night. We end up playing a great set and all the changes go over pretty smooth for a last minute decision. Cool. We head back to No Codes home base for a good after party. Thanks for everything guys and go tear up Australia. Make us proud. To all the people of Germany. FUCKIN RIGHT! WE HAD A GREAT TIME! TILL NEXT YEAR! PEACE JULY 14 MUNICH @ TITANIC CITY, Germany Weather:HOT WITH SLIGHT CHANCE OF HAIL STORM "GOTTEN TACHT CLUSTERFUCK" We give ourselves a few extra hours to get to the city and find the club since it was such a disaster last time. It's gonna be easy this time right Macnizzow? "FUCK YOU STREETS OF MUNICH". Macnizzow demoted. Nut's promotes Jizzle. Binski laughs but no one can hear him cause his voice is fucked. Deep Breath Back to the task at hand. The show. The club is cool and in the basement of a bank. The place fills up fast and we go on first tonight so after a quick sound check we open the night. The set is slightly altered cause of some lingering voice problems for Binski and Macnizzow but it goes down huge anyways. The crowd is jumping and chanting the whole time. What a crowd! Thanks to The Prophecy for the show and the club for a good time. It was good to see the guys from Loonataraxis too. PEACE JULY 13 STUTTGART @ DIE ROHRE, Germany Weather:Hot "NEW OPERATOR...OPERATOR CORRECT" We have another long drive ahead of us down to the south and it's time for team New Team to take the helm. With Binski and Nuts "safe" in the back we head to Stuttgart. Chaos ensues. "Jizzle, what side am I supposed to be driving on?". "Not sure Macnizzow, I ain't got my eyes in". Nuff said. The club is in the heart of Stuttgart and it's the best club in town. It's in a tunnel right on the side of a mountain. Trivium and 36 Crazyfists played a couple of nights before so the people are expecting alot. We know how to give em what they are looking for. With sound man being from Vancouver and the stage being huge, we know it's gonna be a killer night dude. Ya dude. The nights starts rough for the opening band Audio Test. Tobi got us the show so it sucks extra hard to see so many things go wrong, technically, for them. They get it worked out and the night carries on. Next up are Clergy from Dublin. These guys tear it up and you should really check these guys out. With these guys the after party starts before the party. Now it's our time! We hit the stage hard and the energy is intense. We fly trough half the set and then it's time for the drum solo. Jizzle is up on a 3ft drum risor and the lights are shining off his gleeming torso. The solo is wicked and the crowd goes nuts. We finish the set strong. Another good night. PEACE JULY 12 HAMBURG @ LOGO, Germany Weather:Hot with a barametric pressure of 8 "THE LEGENDARY LOGO" It's really cool to be playing back at this club. So many amazing bands have played here and we're glad to part of the tradition. It takes a bit to find the place and we're running a bit late after a 10hr drive but we make it just the same. Nicely done soldier Binski. Great to see ZEROSCAPE up on the marquee. We lost the camera but we're taking some pics with the phone so once the IT dept. figures out how to post those we will. Back to the show. This sound guy has got to be one of the best sound guys in the biz. It takes 2 minutes to sound check and it's perfect after that. The way it should be done. We open the show again with "UNCLE BUSH" and it goes good but the voices are straining. The wear and tear of the road is taking a slight toll but we plow through just the same. You wouldn't know the difference if you weren't in the band. Thanks to all the bands and the club for a great night Time for some RnR for the throats. Maybe tomorrow...Off to the Reeperbahn. Hamburg's red light district. The stories from this night will not be published here. "I can't do this anymore" PEACE JULY 11 FREIBERG @ EAC, Germany Weather:HOTTER "HIGHER EDUCTAION WHAT?" Time to collect ourselves and head to Freiberg. This will be a cool show. It's on the universitadt campus at the student union building. Right where we belong. Time for some edjumacation. We were lucky enough to get on this show at the last minute...thanks Fishee! It's getting close to the end exams for people over here so tonight is a good night to let off a little steam. The club is great. Pro sound, stage and lights. We do a couple of songs for sound check. INDIGO and IF THIS IS THE END. The sound is great. Time for a pre-show meal...one of the best yet...then the first band is on. These guys are a great Ska band from Chemnitz and they do a wicked version of NIN "Hurt". The place is now packed. The cops show up cause of the noise but leave about 5 minutes before we go on. IT'S TIME. We open with "UNLCE BUSH" and go right into "TILL DEATH DO US". The crowd is with us right from the start and more people push thier way up to the front. The pit is full and everything is sounding great. The set goes off smoothly but we gotta fit the drum solo in somewhere so we throw it between HOLLYWOOD and BOOM. IT sounds wicked and the crowd loves it. We end the night with SHHH! as an encore and the whole place is jumping for the whole song. Right on Freiberg! Till Next year. A big shout out to sign post number one and here crew for making the trip. PEACE JULY 9 HALLE @ UNIKUM, Germany Weather:HOTTER "WE'RE BACK & AND IT'S THE WORLD CUP FINAL GAME" Holys shit is it ever great to be back the the city of Halle. This is where we played our first show in Germany ever. This is also the city where we have some of our greatest friends from the road. We find the place no problems thanks to the on board G-Pie-S system. Right away we meet up with our good buddy Mierko. This guy is incredible and his whole crew is too. Right away we are offered the world. "What ever you want". Too cool. Then in walks our great frined Kris. She is the reason we were here in the first place and she is the one repsonsible for us coming back. You're the best. Not only is it great to be back but it's also the final game of the world so the place is packed already for the game. Germany won 3rd place the night before so everyone is still in party mode. The game is agreat one...as I'm sure everyone reading from Canada already knows. Time for a rock show. The club is intimate and the sound man does a wicked job. We play material mostly from the new album but when we play SHHH! everybody is singing along and jumping with us. WICKED! These people haven't forgotten. Thanks! Time for an after party...Halle style. The after party goes for 2 days and everyone is in on it. The days are spent laughing and singing. What a great time. We learned some German football songs...maybe they'll be in the set soon! Soon the party turns into some bizzare giggle fest. Jizzle wins...or looses considering how you look at it. A HUGE thanks to Mierko, man you are too good to us, Kris and everyone at Unikum(the MOOSE lives) and too all our new and old friends in Halle. INCREDIBLE! TILL NEXT YEAR! PEACE JULY 8 KUFSTEIN @ RANTANPLAN, Austria Weather:HOT "AUSTRIAN ALPS AND GOOD PEOPLE...AND ONE FUCKING THIEF" Let's start with the good. We drive a few hours to the south for our first show in Austria. Another first for us so we are pumped and ready to tear shit up. The city is right at the base of the Austrian Alps making it a really tough location to play. Tough scenery. But F the scenery cause we're hear to play some music. After load in and sound check we eat some bread sandwiches and get ready for the show. The stage is really small but we make it work just the same. Binksi spends most of the show on the bar...only a few broken glasses. The small mosh pit area fills up and our buddy Mathias shows what rockin is all about. Split open head couldn't stop this NHL lovin mosher. Respect man. The show goes great and the night is a success..until. We can't let this ruin our good experience in Austria but some asshole stole our merch box. We were packing up at the end of the night and the fucker slipped out the door with it. It's of no use to anyone else but just to be prick the person stole it. You know who you are! If you read this, step up and give it back. Other than that it was a wicked night. PEACE JULY 7 WEIMAR @ GERBERSTR. 1, GERMANY Weather:HOT "FORGET THE PAST" After hearing many rumours about the history of the town it's finally confirmed that this city has a horrible past. On the flip side the people we meet gaurantee the future is bright. The club is really cool. One of the best squatter places we've been. The food is great and of course the local beer goes down great. Every city has it's own beer and everyone insists you try thiers...rubber arms are easily twisted. On with the show. The sounds is really good. The lights really hot and we are pumped by the time we go on. The opening band, Mourning Sun are really good. Too bad it's Heidi's last show but it's good the others are carrying on. Don't stop. The set has a new twist...a wicked new twist! Enter drum solo here. YAAAAAAAAAA Jizzle! The solo was thrown in to cover for some broken strings but it looks like it's gonna stay. After some more incredible German hospitality we head to our rooms...8am. Ouch. PEACE JULY 5 MUNICH @ SUNNY RED, GERMANY Weather:HOT "MüNCHEN" After a tearfull good-bye salut to General Brinkoff we head out to Munich. The drive is easy and then the clusterfuck(sorry Mom) hits. The clusterfuck that is the Munich street system. Now usually we do really well finding our way around place. We find our way around cities that people say we´ll never our way around but this is a mess. After a few u-turns and looks of digust we find the club. Cool place and the people greet us with some warm food and cold beer. We load in quick cause we´re late cause of the f ing roads. The show is hot hot hot! The show goes over great and we close it out by bringing back SHHH! It feels great to play and the whole crowd is jumping with us. Noice one! Here´s were we bring your attention to some really great people and a really really great band. The guys from Loonataraxis are the shit. Their show was great and their music wicked. The only thing topping it is their generosity. Not only the food and drink but a place to stay in their jam room and some guidance around the city. We gave you the heads last year about some cool bands and we´re doing it here now. CHECK THESE GUYS OUT! Thanks guys PEACE JULY 3 DORTMUND @ MAX, MIERKO and DANIEL`S PLACE, GERMANY Weather:HOT "WORLD CUP SOCCER...AIGHT FOOTBALL" Look who´s back!?! It´s been a while since the last update I know but we´ve been really busy but now I´m gonna try to get everything caught up...if I can remember it all. You take the Stanley Cup Finals and times it by about a million and that´s the chaos you have when Germany is playing a World Cup game at home. People everywhere. One person in particular sticks outta the crowd...NICK THE SNAKE! If you remember this is the guy who saved our asses in Dortmund by fixing our van for free. This is also the same guy responsible for our knowledge of the German language...and the slaps we have recieved for repeating his teachings. We all gather at one on the local parks to watch the game on a big screen. The beer garden is full but that doesn´t stop Speshalizt, Binski, and Jizzle from getting in...Macnizzow jumps fences like Max´s Grandmazer so he stays outside. As you all know buy now Germany lost a close game so unfortunately the after party in the zentrum was a little low key. That being said they still partied it up...great sports. Time now to thank Max and everyone once again for the incredible hospitality...I bet you regret saying "anytime you guys wanna come back you can"...ha ha ha. A serious thanks guys and gals...we´ll be back next year fa sho(that one´s for you Max) PEACE JULY 2 DORTMUND @ MAX, MIERKO and DANIEL`S PLACE, GERMANY Weather:HOT "HAPPY BRINKOFF´S DAY(EVERDAY IN DORTMUND IS)" Our first show back in Dortmund and you just know it´s gonna be great. The show is at a JFS which is a community center they have here in every little neighbourhood. They are really cool and this one is done up real nice. Skate park/B-ball courts/BMX Trails and an amazing hall for the show too. Topping it all of is that the guy running the place is Canadian. The flag flying high at the entrance along with all the teams that actually made the world cup. We didn´t know it a first that he was Canadian but there had to be a reason for someone to wear that much Vancouver Grizzlies gear. This guy treated us like gold from the get go. Thanks man. Home away from home! After the sound check we spend the day taking full advantage of the center´s toys. We(minus old Macnnizow) tear up the BMX trails...most of the tearing up Binski did was to his arms...NO BRAKES=NO SKIN ON ARMS. Then it was off to the b-ball courts where team MacNuts remain champions. The it was bike tricks with Nuts. After trying for awhile he finally completes the head over handle bars dismount...video to follow. Time for a little pre-show rest. The show starts and all our friends from last time around are there. What a feeling. The sounds is good..the lights are great and the stage is getting torn a new one. What a show! One of our best this tour. Germans love thier heavy music. Before the show we are offered some of the most amazing generosity yet. After the show the generosity continues. This is incredible. Food...beer...a place to stay...it blows the mind. THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH! After the bar closes...or we close the bar...we get to shoot the shit with some of our old and new friends. Awesome. We´ll see you guys again! If anyone sees our camera can you let us know...thanks. Tomorrow: The return of NICK THE SNAKE...and a a world cup game. PEACE JULY 2 DORTMUND @ MAX, MIERKO and DANIEL`S PLACE, GERMANY Weather:HOT "HAPPY BRINKOFF´S DAY" YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Back in one of our favourite cities to see some of favourite people and drink some of our favourite beer! WICKED TO BE BACK We have today off so we decide to spend it driving to Dortmund to prepare for the World Cup semi-final game. The city is so alive it`s unbelievable. We get there just in time for Max to open up some Brinkoff´s and prepare a pre-game meal for us. Stomachs full we head tot he pitch...well actually the city park for the start of the Dortmunder Summer Olympics. A long story short it´s a series of really stupid challenges that we find to try to injure each other all in the persuit of gold...or another Brinkoff´s. On tonight´s schedule is Dumpster Jumping/Construction Gate Hurdles/Tri-Seat See-Saw Balancing The gold goes to Max in all three events...home court advantage we think. Till next time. A big thanks to all the city workers on the night shift who took the time to watch the whole thing and if the one guy who got the video of Binski´s wipe out over the hurdles please send it to us. Thanks PEACE JULY 1 METZ @ LE SQUAT, Fance Weather:HOT "HAPPY CANADA DAY & AND TIME FOR ANOTHER SQUAT" First and foremost it`s Canada Day and the sun is shinging so you know it`s gonna be a grea day. Last year we were in Dunblane, Scotland for Canada Day and this year it`s France. Cool. After spending the day in the centre ville we head out to find the squat. Maybe shoulda checked a city map before jumping in the vabus...nah fuck it. MacNizzow can`t read a map anymore so Jizzle has to help him out. Life as we know it is over. It ends up not actually being that hard to find...you`ve learned well young jedi. The squat is another really cool place with a great vibe. We get there and some taggers are doing some great work on one of the inside walls so we ask them to do the back of the van. Just the back this time with our new font and the Canadian flag. They do a wicked job and we`ll get the pics up ASAP. We end up playing with some really cool bands tonight. One from Sewden, a cool punk band who speak better english than we do. Next up is us and we play fucking hard and the people there are all over it...thanks for the support. The next band up is a cool four piece that includes a guy playing a bass made of a tub, string, and broom handle and he makes it sound great...some real french folk music...very cool. The rest of the night is a huge party with DJs and shit. Binksi ends up gripping the mic for some wicked drum and bass raggae free stlyle and then finishes of the night as the bartender. Very cool night. Thanks to everyone who put on the show...the food was amazing too! Thanks to everyone we met that night too. You are a wicked group of people! PEACE JUNE 30 KAYL @ KALERSTUFF, Luxembourg Weather:HOT "FIRST SHOW IN LUXEMBOURG" We drive through this country so many times on our way to and from France that it seems rediculous that we haven't played it yet. Well tonight is the night! What a place. Everyone speaks at least 4 or 5 languages while MacNizzow struggles with his one. There is a Luxembourgois that is like French/German and English all in one. Luckily Binski speaks it fluently. The place fills up FAST! This is gonna be another great night...another hot night too. Fuckin drenched again by the first chorus of Uncle Bush(the vabus is smelling really good these days). The crowd stays with us the whole show and the pit is on fire! Thanks to all you that stayed up in it the whole set. That's how it's done! Big thanks to Christophe for the food, beer, and show! WE'LL BE BACK FA SHO! Here are some pics from the last couple of days. THE PICS!!! PEACE JUNE 29 LYON @ LYON'S HALL, Fance Weather:HOT "IN TO THE LYON'S DEN" Then fight is on! Lyon is France's second biggest city and by the looks of it it's gonna be a great show. After getting into town early we check out what the city has to offer. People everywhere. Everyone's out in the city living life and loving life. Great vibes. We see a bunch of Zeroscape flyers around town and realize it's gonna be a good night. So we head to the venue. Well we head out towards the venue. Well we head out with the intentions of finding the venue. After about 10 u-turns and 7 map checks we finally get there. WICKED CLUB! Hair metal blaring in the background!FUCKIN RIGHTS All the volume level limiters are turned off tonight...LOUD is the volume tonight. The bands are wicked and all the people treat us real good. The venue is HOT. We are drenched again by the time Uncle Bush is done. You gotta love it. The set is on fire and Speshalizt almost knocks himself out with the head of his guitar. Pics to follow. Some alterations are made to the set as Binski continues to fight off a horrible flu. Nothing stops us though and the night is a huge succes! Thanks to Jean-Luc for all the hospitality...you're gonna wanna see these pics! PEACE JUNE 27 THE ALPS @ ITALY & FRANCE Weather:COOL ALPS BREEZE "ZEROSCAPE SETS OUT TO RECLAIM GOLD IN TURIN...FOUR MONTHS LATE" We have a day off so we set out for Turin, Italy through the Alps. Holy shit is this a trip. We leave base camp around 2pm. We climb to an altitude of about 1500m on the first leg but Speshializt isn't content. "We gotta go up there" he says as he points to the peak of one the highest alps. Aight...so we load up the mule and make a b-line for the peak. We reach the top a half hour later and set up camp about 3500m above sea level. We look around and find out that the highest point in this section is 4200m. Choas. Now it's time to head back down. Some of these turns are tight and by the time we reach the bottmom the shoes on the mule are literally smoking so we rest for a few minutes and then on to Turin. We get to Jizzle's native land around 8pm and head for the centro of the city. Not much going on at all but we do eat some real pizza which is amazing and then we head back to France. On the way back we cross from Italy to France in a tunnel that stretches over 12km under on eof the Alps. The Italians don't fuck around when it comes to tunnels. We'll put up some pics ASAP PEACE JUNE 27 LE CROCOLEOUS @ GRENOBLE, France Weather:HOT ALPS HEAT "OUR FIRST FRENCH SQUAT SHOW" This probablly not what you're thinking...this ain't Amsterdam. This show is in a old house that these guys have claimed as thier own. They've gutted the place it looks wicked. Basically they just moved in to an old abandoned place and made it into a venue. Cool. Oh and the fact that the town is at the base of the Alps doesn't hurt one bit. The stage and bar are in the basement so you'd think that there would be some relief from the heat...guys again. We were soaked by then end of the first song. The crowd were incredible for the whole show. Moshing like crazy and during they picked Binksi up and carried him around the room during OUTNUMBERED. They let him down onto the stage just in time for the second verse...like they'd heard the song a million times. Wicked times! Thanks to Samad and everyone for the great show. PEACE JUNE 25 PLAGE LE GRANDE MOTTE @ THE MEDITERRANEAN, France Weather:HOT HOT HEAT "BEACH FASHION THAT MAY CAUSE VIOLENT VOMITTING" Aight so it's 7:30am and the troops need a little sobering...ummm...waking up, so it's time for swim in the sea. We head back to the beach we hit last year and realize that is actually a "Senior Citizens Nudist Colony". Let's try somewhere else. So we head to Le Grande Motte. Oh ya much better! Average age = 73. Nicely done boys. We head further down the strip and find our spot with the younger crowd. We set up camp and hit the sweet...well salty ...sea water. What a rush! We spend the rest of the day burning to a crisp. Who'da thought the sun in the south of France would be hot? PAIN...but what a way to suffer. WARNING! THE FOLLOWING PICS ARE NOT FOR THOSE WITH A WEAK STOMACH! PLus a few random shots from over the last few days. THE PICS!!! PEACE JUNE 25 MONTPELLIER @ BLUE UP, France Weather:HOT HOT HEAT We head back into familiar territory today. Last year the show was in the cellar of an old Roman fortress and this year we play the outter wall. The show ends up being an acoustic gig at the last minute but it's cool with us cause we can blow it up acoustically too. We play "Skank & Live", "Haven't Seen Such A Long Time", "Uncle Bush Wants You", "Boom", "Till Death Do Us", "Outnumbered" along with two unreleased tracks "Subtlety" and "Time". The intimate crowd showed us some love and we end the night sharing a few drinks with them on the patio. Thanks Luc...Opa...what's this?...random after party offer from some friendly drunk locals?...well don't mind if we do. So the night/morning ends/begins partying with some great new friends from Lille/Reunion Island! Till next time! PEACE JUNE 24 NAVARRENX @ MEUHZIK FESTIVAL, France Weather:RAIN IN THE MOUNTAINS "TIME TO CLIMB THE PYRENEES" Time to head up to the top of the mountain and rock some Navarrenxians! The drive up is sweet and we're pumped to be playing this festival. We've heard great things about this festival and we're hoping the rain will let up. This amazing Spanish band Ska P headlined the festival last year and the place was rammed so the night should be good. Allo Monsoon Rains! We musta brought it with us but Jean-Philippe and his crew weren't gonna let the storm stop the night. Unfortunately some of the bands didn't get to play which sucks but we were lucky enough to get a slot under the arch of the ancient forbidden castle. That's how we do. We take the stage right in the eye of the storm...calm for a minute then BAM...the mofo hits hard...but we gotta thank all those who came to watch and stayed to mosh! YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING! The set sounds great and we even get some help for the end of "...And if this is the end I will". WICKED!!! A huge amount of thanks and respect to Jean-Philippe and all the organizers/event staff for the amazing job they did to make sure we played. Merci! PEACE JUNE 23 TARBES @ LE CELTIC PUB, France Weather:HOT "A MAYOR GETS PUNCHED IN THE FACE, A MAI TAI BOXER and A LEG-HUMPING MOSHPIT DOG" What a night. First off the original venue calls to cancel the show...just as we roll into town. We manage to line up another real fast and the place turns out to be the best place to be in town. The town does an anual exchange with Spain where bands from each country play in thier neighbours country. The show is supposed to be outside but it starts raining so they have to move inside and they end up where we are. So we end playing 2 sets that night and both of them are on fire! The place was as hot as hell but thanks to all the people who got up to the front and moshed anyways. You know who you are...we're really bad with names. So the night gets really intersting around 12. The mayor and his delegates walk in along with his Spanish counterparts. All done up in suits and ties. Just before that a guy comes up to us and let's us know that he has lot's of "shit" for us after the show. Aight. The same guy let's us know that he is also a mai tai boxer. Aight. The next thing you know buddy is punching the Mayor in the face! Wow...all this while the pub's dog is humping a guys leg in the mosh pit! Vive la France. It's wicked to be back in the south of France and a HUGE thanks to Jean-Louis and his people for everything. PEACE JUNE 21 LES SABLES D'OLONNE @ THE OCEAN FRONT, FRANCE Weather: SUN & 2200Km TO DRIVE! WHAT A FUCKIN MISSION IMPOSSIBLE DUEX!!! So after an all night and all day soldier mission drive we are back on the Atlantic coast of France for thier "Fete de la Musique" night. There are bands getting ready to play all over the beach front and we are set to headline the Metal/Alternative Stage. We fought through torrential rainfall and lightning storms in Germany, fatigue and hunger in France and a killer traffic jam outside Paris but we got here...and then the rain starts! The stages are wide open with no canopies so the show keeps getting pushed back. Finally the rain holds off and the show starts. It's geting really late but the French show no signs of wanting to go home. We finally take the stage at 1:00am and the crowds start filling in. We get a little extra fule for the show as some jackass hits our van. The same jackass that took the mics we were supposed to use but had to go home to sleep. Well, instant karma says you now have to get your rad and headlights fixed. BOOYA. Damage to our vabus...0. So after Jizzle curses him out in French we light up the night! WICKED! Thanks to everyone who stayed out late to see us and make a really cool night even cooler! YOU GUYS WERE WICKED. Thanks to the organizers and the people who helped make sure we played. Tomorrow is a day off at the beach. PEACE JUNE 20 CHEMNITZ @ SUBWAY TO PETER, Germany Weather: SUN & 2200Km TO DRIVE! WHAT A FUCKIN MISSION!!! We know how to book 'em! We play on the far east border of Germany today and tomorrow we play back on the far west coast of France...we just came from France no? We get into Germany under the cover of night and set up to rest for the next leg of the treck. When we set out we remember how much we love Germany and it's autobahn system. Sounds like jets taking off when cars fly by. NO SPEED LIMITS...other than the quality of the vehicle you are driving. We get to the club with very little yelling and cursing which is not easy cause the highway system here is a clusterfuck! Effective but tricky. The club is really cool and they take us over to our flat for the day. We chill and get ready for the show as almost all of the town parades by after another German victory at the world cup. Back at the club we sound check and are treated to some German hospitality...great food and BIG beers...Danke Shon! The show goes great and the place is on fire...we make some new friends and then it's time to set out on phase 2 of the mission...BACK TO FRANCE!!! PEACE JUNE 18 Metz, France Weather: SUN! So we're off today and we headed for Metz via Belgium and Luxembourg. Not much going on on a Sunday in France so we decide to park and scope out the city. Speshalizt takes us right into "hooker-ville" and we spend the rest of the night as spectators...not literally...to the goings on in Metz. Ladies and gentlemen...the "METALLICATS"! THE PICS!!! PEACE JUNE 17 LE QUEZNOY @ LE CACTUS, France Weather: SUN! They say that the best thing for a Chimay Blue hangover is the blazing sun. In case I haven't mentioned it before Chimay Blue is a VERY strong Belgian beer...something like 10 percent...or 10 hundred percent...either way it hits hard. The sun is our enemy. After driving aimlessly around town looking for the club suddenly out of nowhere some dude on a mo-ped drives up and signals to follow him. We do and he leads us right to the club...not sure if it was the stench that gave us away or what but buddy knew who we were. The club owner and his crew take great care of us from the start. Jizzle was feeling like shit and couldn't make it out of the van so Macnizzow had to take over the french speaking duties. Not sure what he said but after the bartender finished punching Binski in the throat and making Macnizzow eat four flies and a tree branch, Jizzle arrives to smooth the cituation over. Back to l'ecole for Macnizzow. So last nights theme colour was blue and tonight it's gotta be green. Tonight we play a good Rub a Dub Session...according to Binski...with some REAL Raggae DJ's! The night is really cool and we overcome some early technical difficulties to finish off strong. The rest of the night is spent mashing it tup to the "Selecta". Big up to the whole crew for a great night. PEACE JUNE 16 LA LOUVIERE @ LA TAVERNE DU THEATRE, Belgium Weather: BEERGIUM So this is our last show in Belgium on this leg of the tour. It's a bitter sweet night cause Belgium has been so good to us. We are playing the "Fete de la Musique" Festival which is their national music day. There are shows all over the country and we get to bring in some Canadian flavour. Wicked. We find the venue and it just so happens to be right across from the Miss La Louviere contest. Wierd how they never asked us to be judges...anyways. We get the stage set up and the PA is huge...no volume limits! Then we sit down to enjoy a few of Belgiums finest...beer, not the Miss La Louviere finalists...with our friends from Binche. Thanks to Lenny for bringing his whole crew out again and for coming up for a song or two. Thanks for the support guys! The show is a huge success. We tear the stage up and the crowd has so much energy that the entire place is moving...you gotta love it. Thanks to all the people there for making this show amazing...we won't forget you guys and we'll spread the word about your city and your great beers! Thanks to le patron for all your hospitality...and Chimay Blue! Weather: RAIN PEACE JUNE 15 GRENAY @ AU JEAN JAURèS Grenay, France Weather: RAIN It had been getting really hot in the va...i mean bus, so we talked about putting some sort of vent in the back. Something to help the air circulation, other than dirty socks and gitch. We we didn't talk about was the way we were going to create the vent. Well. Apparently Speshalizt thought someone had mentioned backing the va...bus into a tree. Now we have a vent. Great to see the rain back...noice. This is our last show with our new bros the "Metallicats". These guys are wicked and we'll post a pic and some info for ya real soon. Thanks guys and we'll see ya again real soon. There set got cut short do to something the french call "Police". not sure how it translates into english. Long story short we escape yet another close encounter with the Federales only after Jizzle tells Speshalizt to take pics of the police. Good bye camera. PEACE JUNE 14 REIMS @ L'EXCALIBUR, France Weather:BLAZING FIRE SUN! First things first...well actually second things first. The city is pronounced "REZ" and not "REEMS", which is really helpful to know when asking directions and shit. And firstly, this city got hit with the GORGEOUS BOMB. The city is on fire, and the buildings are nice too. Thank god we passed the good looks check point...acorrding to Binksi it was because of him...Jizzle knows it wasn't cause of him...and Speshalizt says it was Macnizzow that got us in. Any way, we got in and we ain't leaving! Till tomorrow. HAIL STORM! Yup...right as we're loading in the city is hit with a hail storm. Not only did we bring the hot people quota up but we also brought some appocolyptic weather. We'll put some pics up tomorrow. The show goes on...must go on. We play with a cool local group that plays some wicked old school metal. Highlighted by 2 W.A.S.P songs, the highlight of any set really. We tear shit up and it is really fuckin HOT. We want to thank our friend _ _ _ _ _ _ (sorry I don't have the spelling with me right now and I HAVE to get his done and I don't wanna even try to guess at it) for showing us SO MUCH love and support. I will have your name in here ASAP. See you again real soon. RESPECT PEACE JUNE 12 Servan, France Weather: SUN! The sun is blazing and we have the day off in Paris...the only time that having a day off is any good! We tour around the city for a bit...absolutely no general traffic regulations...wicked chaos! At the end of the day we head over to Jizzle's family's house. It's great to see everybody again! They treat us to an amazing BBQ in the back yard and we crash for the night. Thanks for feeding us and letting us shower up for the big photo shoot. Take care and we'll see you again next year...or sooner! We have a photo shoot on Tuesday and then back to the stage Wednesday. PEACE JUNE 11 PARIS @ GLAZ'ART, France Weather: SUN! We head back into the heart of the lion...better know as Paris. What can you say about this city that hasn't already been said? How about "Holy fuck this city smells like four stank ass Canadians that haven't showered in a really long time". Other than tha Paris is THE shit. Amazing. Jizzle leads us right to the club...right past the club we go. Like they say "one wrong turn and you're fucked!". We get back on track after a couple of Speshalized U turns and bammm...we're there. This place is wicked. Nice big room with great gear and a soundman wearing a Moosehaed shirt. How could you go wrong! This is a pretty big night for us. We finally meet up with Eric and our label BAD REPUTAION RECORDS. Thanks for the new T-shirts too. Go to his website qnd grqb one if ya can! After that we head over to do a round of interviews and pics before the first band hits the stage. Jadallys starts the night off on fire! Wicked set for sure and thanks again for helping us line up the show! All the bands play great and the show is a huge success. We tore it up in the unbelievable heat. Wicked to be back in Paris! Thanks to Flo and his whole crew for all the help! PEACE JUNE 10 SIRVY @ LE SALOON, Belgium Weather: SUN! Back to Belgium we go and it feels to good to be back! We're actually only a few hundred metres from the france border but the prices are miles apart...or should I say kilometers...HA HA HA HA HA. Anyways... Again you can't say enough about the hospitality of the people we meet. We are greeted with some of Belgium's finest beer "Chimay"...made by monks... and so the cycle continues! The night has a really cool vibe to it so we start it off with a half hour acoustic set. We play a few off the album and one or two un-released songs. Wicked start! We take a short break and then hit the people hard..NO VOLUME LIMITAIONS!!!! The show goes great and the night is a huge success! Big respect to our brother's "The Metallicats" for coming out to another of our shows, you guys are wicked! Thanks to the club and our new friends too...AWESOME. NEXT STOP PARIS!!! But we gotta get there without radio. Jizzle decided to fix the thing with a pair of pliers and brute force...good-bye radio...hello conversation #'s 2-15...FUCK! PEACE JUNE 9 CHAMBREY @ FESTIVAL GENS MêLE LE MONDE Chambrey, France Weather: SUN! Aight so this might be the smallest ville we've played but the festival has all the right shit to make it a good one. A big open air stage...well old hay wagon but who's counting. Tonnes of room for camping and beer and BBQ. This is the first year of the festival and we get to play it. The promoter's are great and the festival will take off for sure over the years! The set is so intense that the stage actually shift 2 feet to the left...that's how we do things. Tom Cruise has joined us again for a few days of tour management. Welcome Maverick. PEACE JUNE 8 LILLE @ JUNE 8 LA RUMEUR, France Weather: SUN! Alright it's finally really fuckin hot...nice change! We head to the next town with Jizzl...I mean Macnizzow completely incopacitated in the back. We meet up with the promoter Mike, his beautiful wife and famliy and once again are treated to amazing french hospitality. We spend the day relaxing and getting ready for the show. The club is not the biggest or the smallest we've played but we do have to try a couple of different stair cases before we can get the mothership in! We get to see an amazing band "Tronckh" and we hit the stage fired up! It's hot and sweating and so is Binski's black torso. All in all a good night. Thanks again Mike et al! PEACE June 6, 2006 Aulnoyes Aulmeryes @ CANAL SAMBRE Radio Set & June 7, 2006 SALLE DES FETES, France Weather: SUN! YO YO YO we're back on line and we've got some catching up to do. FREE BEER IS ALWAYS GOOD!...UNTIL First let's just stqrt off by saying a HUGE thank you to Jean-Pierre and Fred and all thier families for the incredible welcome! You guys made us feel at home on your homes and that was incredible! We get to town around 5:30 and gotta be at the radio station by 7 for the acoustic set and interview(which we'll post in a bit). After a brief hunt for a merde-marche we give up abd decide to use the tiolettes at the station. We load into the control room for a quick check and the show is on. Jizzle takes control of this one as the entire interview is done in french. Some days Jizzle likes to pretend that he doesn't speak french but luckily today wasn't one of them. We play "Skank & Live" and "Till Death Do Us" and they turned out really good. Keep an eye out for them up here soon. Thanks to Fred and the station for the support. Day 2 and the show looks like it's gonna be a good one. After talking to the guys for a bit we realize that they run a tight ship and work really fuckin hard. Last Decembre they booked 87 bands in one week! After hanging out at Fred's place listening to metal and playing b-ball(Me and nuts beat Binski and Fred, who must have been atleast 7' tall). We head over to the hall to load in and sound check. ENTER THE FREE BEER So Jizzle gets to hiting the freebies pretty hard and early. Fuck it ain't gonna be pretty at all. After a quick check we head to Jean-Pierre's house for some amazing food and...you guessed it...more beer and vin. Heading back to the hall Jizzle start's in about the free beer again and the rest of the night is pretty much set. The lovely hostess and here family bring us yet another great meal and...free beer. The hall starts to fill up as Jizzle looks like he's gonna fall down. Uh oh. Binski(pepper) and Speshalizt(salt) head outside to take a few pics and talk to some of our new friends. Sometimes in english and sometimes in french. Either way they do a great job getting them pumped for the show. Wonder where Jizzle is?...FREE BEER. The show goes great! Thanks to Brad Pitt for the amazing job witht he lights. Thanks to the guys doing the sound and any one else that helped make the night so great! Sorry if we forgot a few names from that night..but we won't forget the hospitality!...and FREE BEER! Speaking of which let's get back to Jizzle. By the end off the night he's barely recognizable...cursing and yelling like a fool. Maybe next time he'll show a little more class and restraint. Oh shit did I say Jizzle? My bad, replace all the Jizzle's with Macnizzow and you have the real story. June 4, 2006 - BINCHE @ CABARET VOLTAIRE & BRUSSELS @ MAGASIN 4 Weather: SUN! AIGHT IT'S MISSION TIME BOYS! We have two shows today. One in Binche and the other about an our away in Brussels and we only have an hour in between time slots. Our set ends in Binche at 5:30 and our set in Brussels starts at 6:30. The pressure is ON...that's how we do this! We'll get to the almost fatal night in Brussels in a minute...but first the Binche show. We slowly climb outta bed and Pascal is there with the coffee and food...this guy is wicked! After we feast, me and Nuts create the World Cup of Soccersquash! Of course, as you are all aware, the game must be played indoors with as many windows as possible. The game goes forever, with very little damage done to the bar, and Russia and Canada are tied going into the next round. The acoustics in the Cabaret Voltaire are amazing and the set sounds really good. We grab the gear and run to the van. The route seems pretty straight forward and thanks to Macnizzows quick thinking we have it mapped out by mapquest. We run into a bit of construction but nothing that's gonna stop us. We make it into the incredible city of Brussesls in record time and use Macnizzow's map to lead us right to the club. Well actaully it leads us no where near the club. For some reason he decided to put some random address into the mapquest search. Donkey. Nothing new so we jump back in the van and head in the right direction. We find the club abd all is well...aside from the fact that we missed our time slot. Our man Jean-Luc hooks us up and we are set to close the night off. The club is wicked, lot's of people...great vibes...gonna be a great night...almost. We get hooked up with a couple of beers and some amazing chili as the night kicks off. THEN CHAOS REIGNS! If you have a weak stomach you might not want to read on. you've been warned. FIRE!!!! The building has caught fire! Jizzle and Speshalizt are down in the van prepping for the show. Binski is on his way out when the inferno starts...luckily he makes it outside with minor smoke inhalation. Thank god. But wait...where's Macnizzow? TRAPPED ON THE TOP FLOOR! NO WAY DOWN! NO WAY UP! TRAPPED! So you'd figure that this is when the safe members of ZEROSCAPE start thier tireless search for their missing comrade right? WRONG. As Macnizzow hangs out the window of the top floor, smoke billowing out over his head, what does he hear? "Macnizzow...what the fuck are you doing?" yells Speshalizt. "There's a fire and I'm TRAPPED" calmly replies Macnizzow. "Oh for fucksakes" yells Speshalizt. At this point Speshalizt heads back towards the van. Surely he's gone to round up the troops for a last ditch effort to save Macnizzow. Nope...no sign of these fucks anywhere! The next time Macnizzow see's his "pals" is when he crawls through the flame and soot to safety...he finds them having a beer by the van...worried, Macnizzow makes sure everyone is ok...he is relieved to find all of his mates safe and to hear Binksi say "Macnizzow, where the fuck you been man?". Macnizzow would like to take this time to thank his brothers in arms for there compassion and heroics in bringing him to safety. Like fuck!(details of the story may have been embelished for Macnizzow's sake). On a serious note, everyone got out safe and there were no serious injuries. Great job done by the Brussels Police and Fire Depts! Thanks to Pascal and Jean-Luc for everything you did for us. You guys are awesome! June 3, 2006 - BINCHE @ CABARET VOLTAIRE Weather: SUN! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA BOYS!!! Our first show in Belgium and the sun is out, who woulda thought you'd go north to catch the sun? The club is hardcore! We get there early and the owner, Pascal, and his crew treat us to some Belgian Hospitality. Beers and pizza, then we set up and jam for awhile. It feels great to be able to turn up after being restricted by France's volume level control police. We have two shows at the club, one plugged Saturday night and an acoustic set Sunday afternoon. Saturday night feels good right from the start. The people move a little closer with each song and by the end of the set we're in each other's faces and we've got some new friends! A big shout out to our little man Lenny and his crew for being front and center the whole night! The after party goes LATE and the beer flows free. Thanks Pascal. June 1, 2006 - ARRAS @ LA TAVERNE DES SAULES Weather: SUN! Well we keep setting records here in France. Each time we say "there is no way we could play a smaller club" we find one to play. Now France is a whole fuck of a lot older than Canada and I guess the people used to be a whole fuck of a lot smaller cause the rooms sure are. Thank god size doesn't matter. Like we always do bout this time, we take the stage after a couple of days off(which feels like forever to us) and rip it up! It feels amazing to be back on stage doing what we do best! Thanks to the people for ripping it up with us! Merci to Philippe et al for showing us more of that french hospitality. Off to Belgium for a couple of festival shows! MAY 29, 2006 - NANCY Weather: SHIT YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA THE SUN SHINES TODAY!!!!!!!! THE BIG NEWS!!!!! It's amazing for us to tell you that ZEROSCAPE has inked a new record deal with Eric Coubard and Bad Reputation Records. Bad Reputation Records is France's biggest, most respected and hardest working Independent Label and we are looking forward to building big things with these guys! That being said, the new album "...And If This Is The End I Will" is now out and available through our label's site so go get it!
We're heading up to Belgium soon for a couple of festival shows and then back into the Ass of Al(people here call it Hell's Ass) for a few more before we start heading south. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA GO GET THE NEW ALBUM NOW!!!! MAY 27, 2006 - COLMAR @ LE POUSSIN VERT Weather: SHIT Yo! So we get to Colmar after another night with Vachonti in Strassbourg. Oh you beautiful girl you but your looks are very decieving! You leave a horrible taste in the mouth when you leave and our heads may not ever clear. Pics to follow. We find the club no problem, good start. We enter the club, ending the good start. We've played a smaller club...once, but you know we're gonna do it up just the same. Well we actually have to play acoustic do to noise restrictions but that don't keep us from ripping Al's Ass another new one. We settle in for another night of great food and beer. We take the stage for a quick but wicked set and join our new friends at the bar. MAY 25, 2006 - WOLSHEIM @ LE FOU DU ROI Weather: SHIT So we are back to doing what we do best after a couple of days off. Time to tear Al's Ass a new one. We have affectionately dubbed the region of France we are in right now(Al'sace) "Al's Ass" because the weather has been shit. So we drive out to the club which at first sight looks like 4 abandoned farm houses on the outskirts of town. We walk in to the place and holy shit is it wicked! We set up and sound check just in time for the usual food and biere treatment. We take the stage at midnight and it feels amazing to be back up in it! They have or should I say had "Sound Level Limiters" at all the clubs in France. This can leave the volume feeling a little low so we decided to blow the limiter right off the board. Full power DAMMIT! The sound man was pulling his hair out a we kept it at max out the whole show! Thanks to the crowd for making us feel good, you guys were awesome. We'll see you at the next show in Colmar. Now it's back to Beatrice the Beast...our home for the next 4 months finally has a name. Here are some pics from the last couple of days. I swear if you drink enough cheap red wine this dude looks like Tom Cruise. PEACE MAY 23, 2006 - Dieuze Miles:60 If you've been following along you'll remember we've been here before. You'll probablly see a common thread in our France reports, merde, but by no means is it indicative of our time here. We've been treated like gold here and it just keeps getting better. So on to France's Tom Cruise. We met up with our french promoter Cedric "Le Maverick" Ducos. This guy looks just like Tom but luckily acts nothing like him. He brought us to his house for our couple of days off and he and his family have been treating us like Kings! Lot's of great food, drink, warm beds, and a place to shower! Man did Jizzle ever need that. We also discovered a ping pong table. Let the swearing and fighting and cheating(Binski) begin. It's still up in the air who actually won so we'll call it a tie. We decided that we had to repay some of the kindness so we decided to cut the lawn. This was a big yard but we were up to it! We got it done in a few hours(BNG Property Mgmt watch out) and it was on to soccer and Pétanque(bacci ball) and biere! Cedric and myself tore up the pétanque court. Vivre la pétanque! And now it's back to the van...au revoir civilization. A serious MERCI BEAUCOUP to Cedric and his family for all the generosity! We'll post some pics soon so you can see what we mean about this guy. We'll also be posting some pics of our new best friend Vachon. Vachon is a beautiful young french girl that seems to follow us around everywhere. For those of you that like suspense as much as I do...we'll tell you tomorrow! PEACE MAY 22, 2006 - BESANçONS@ LA CREMERIE Miles:60 So this city is encroyable(incredible). It's an old Roman city that dates back over 2500 years and we're playing in the old castle's wine cellar. We get there during the day and the sun is finally out for the first time since we left Canada. Stephan and Thibault greet us with more free beer and food. Vive la France. We spend the day touring around and seeing the sights(and drinking biere). Jizzle even found his first Djembe. With our superior command of the french language we managed to barter the price up! Good work lads. After dinner we hit the stage for a short acoustic show to start the night. We grab the people by the throat and get ready for the night. Those that were there for the acoustic show called thier friends and they we're all ready for the show. The show was loud and saweet. Thanks to our new friends for moshing up the whole night. Thanks again to Stephan et Thibault pour tout. We'll be back! Next up the return of the supermarche incident. Luckily it's our promoter's home town. Le ville de Cedric Cruise. Nice work Macnizzow. PEACE MAY 21, 2006 - MULHOUSE@ NOUMATROUFF Miles:60 Aight, we've been off line for a few days so let's get you all back up to speed. First thing is we'll switching up the updaters. Since MACNIZZOW's french is impeccable he'll be taking over for a bit. Bon jour! So this is our first fully amped show in France for our "TILL DEATH DO US TOUR" 2006. The club is wicked and the owner, Pascal, and his crew treat us great. Not sure if we'll get used to this but you gotta love the free food and biere at every show. We also got a nice dose of culture tonight. We were playing the last night of a 3 day festival! The show starts innocently enough with a Groupe Experimentale. Next up is an all femme band Mil Mascaras...very good. Now it's time for some real culture. The lights dim and the music intensifies. In walks "Belvedere", backwards, naked, and 6'3". I guess the thing that really stuck out is the 10' bycicle chain attatched to his dick which inturn was attatched to 8 or 9 dolls that he was dragging. So here is were it get's interesting. Belvedere slouches up to the stage, lies down, rips off the chain and starts a pre-recorded video. What looks like pudding ends up being the by product of pudding. Merde seems to be the common thread in France. So after Belvedere feasts on his own shit it's time for us to take the stage. We tear shit up and on to the next town. Thanks to Pascal et al for the hospitality! Entre Le francais Tom Cruise. PEACE MAY 20, 2006 - HAUGENAU @ CASA LOCA Miles:60 First show in France. Finally. What can I say, the people here are amazing. Got to the venue early cause there wasn't much to do. The owner welcomed us as soon as we pulled up. One of the first things he said to us was "tonight everything is free". Thats wicked. Had a couple of pints and some hot sandwiches to start off. Spent a few hours just hanging out there. The atmosphere was so warm. Really felt welcome there. Then at about 8pm just after a quick soundcheck we had our dinner. Wicked meal. Potatoes, salad, bread, chicken and of course wine. All home made!!! Best meal of the tour so far for sure. The show went great. We played for a long time. Over an hour I think. All acoustic. The crowd was really attentive and the vibe in the place was great. Just felt good playing there and it looked like everyone really enjoyed it qnd so did we. As soon as the show was over it was party time!!! Dennis kept on pouring us the flaming coucarachas. Who knows whats in the glass, but they sure were good. The beer was free all night so it wasn't long until we were a complete mess. Awesome times tho!!! Made tons of friends. Huge thanx to Dennis and Kiki for taking such great care of us. You are great! Thanx to Cedric for setting up the gig for us. Thanx to Lyes for taking us to the apartment at the end of the night for yet another afterparty. The rest of the night is a big blur. Just know I didn't feel so good in the morning. I quick beer took care of that hangover pretty fast tho. PEACE MAY 18, 2006 - TIME OFF... Miles:314 Time off sucks cause there's nothing to do and days are long. To kill some time we headed to Luxembourgh Tuesday night. Something to do anyway. Apprarently we did't learn last tour that taking toll roads is actually cheaper because you save tons on diesel. It took us 5 hours to drive about 130 miles. Oh well, the music is working now so it wasn't too bad. Rained right through the night, but that didn't stop me and Jizzle from drinking some cheap wine and wondering the streets all night. Good times! Spent all morning looking for a can again. This is appalling!!! It costs 1.10€ to use a washroom in Luxembourgh. Wasn't much to do so we just got back on the road and headed back to France. Ended up in a town called Dieuze. In the middle of nowhere. Found some abandoned train station and claimed it as home for the night. Got the acoustics out to practice for tonight's first show in France. What's a night off without cheap wine. This time instead of getting bottles we bought a 5L plastic jug of red wine. Classy!!! Only 6€ for 5 liters. Same price as diesel. Tasted the same as diesel too. Most of the night is a blur. But managed to pass the time anyway. Here's an interesting story speaking of paying for washrooms. Once the wine kicks in so do the certain bodily functions. Taking a piss outside is not a big deal since we're all guys. Late at night McNizzow set out on a solo mission to find a place to pinch a loaf. Stole some paper towels from a local Esso station. After some time he found the perfect spot. Outside of what looked like an abandoned building close to where we were parked by the city center. Thats not that interesting of a story right? Here's where it gets funny... The 'abandoned building' turned out to be a supermarket. It was dark and he was drunk. Good enough excuse for me. Thats what you get for charging for washrooms. Look out for ZEROSCAPE steamers in a town near you!!! Pimping out the van pics... PEACE MAY 16, 2006 - YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! Miles:117 Well, we crossed the channel yesterday. Everything went smooth and exactly as we planned. Of course we had to do everything the ZEROSCAPE way. To avoid any extra problems at customs Binski had to take the van on the ferry alone. The rest of us went on a different ferry as foot passengers. The only problem was that our ferry goes to Calais and Binski's goes to Dunkerque. So with a quick map Jizzle drew up in the van before we split up Bisnki had to make the trip by himself. A soldier alone in the wild!!! We were waiting outside when from the other side of the parking lot came a loud scream... "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA BOOOOOOOOOYYYYYYSSSSS!!!!!" The mission was complete! Drove to Lille last night. Seemed like the closest big city to Calais. Nice place. Walked around for a couple of hours last night. Not much going on tho. Monday night I guess. Here's my beef with France. Why do you have to pay to use a washroom??? Running around in the morning trying to get 40 cents in change just to take a leak. No more!!! Gonna start taking a piss right in the middle of town in broad day light! If dogs can do it why can't I??? The UK number is no longer in use. The new ZEROSCAPE number is +33(0)674 204619. Make sure you all holla!!! PEACE MAY 15, 2006 - LAST DAY IN UK Miles:20 Well, the first run of shows in UK is over. Feels great to be on the road again thats for sure. Saw a lot of friends and fans and made some new ones as well. Now we got 4 days off in a row which is not good cause there isn't much to do. Spent quite a bit of time pimping out the van yesterday. The stereo now works!!! Installed some speakers right in Halford's parking lot using nothing but a knife, a screwdriver and a shitload of duct tape. The system's booming now. Maybe not quite booming, but we can listen to music now. It was much needed. What a better way to pass time than to get juiced? Thats exactly what we did last night. I should've learned from the last tour hat me and red cheap red wine don't mix, but... It was a good night tho. Drove down to Ashford and saw our good friends Steve and Ted. Good times!!! Don't remember all of the night unfortunately. Thanx to Ted for letting us crash at the house. I slept in the van cause I did not have the motor skills to make it to the front door. Woke up with a terrible hangover. Oh well. Got a new radiator for the van since the old one was leaking like a siv. Had to do the job ourselves to save the money. Sainsbury's parking lot seemed like a good spot. You should've seen the looks (of disgust) on people's faces. Priceless!!! Four clowns trying to replace a radiator with a screwdriver and a pair of dollar store pliers. Where's Nick The Snake when you need him? Got the job done anyway. Ghetto style! I'll put some pics up soon. They are hillarious! This computer is just way too slow. Now its time to jump on the ferry and head to mainland Europe. First show is in Haguenau in France. We don't even know where that is. Or how to pronounce that. We'll figure it out. We'll be back in UK for the end of July and August. Check the tour dates for all the info. More shows will be posted soon. We'll see you all then. Thanx for the support!!! Oh and check out this review from the Bournemouth gig courtecy of Andy from Dinusaur Reviews. Thanx man!!! PEACE MAY 13, 2006 - RAINHAM @ THE OASTHOUSE Miles:282 Another long day in the van. Put on a lot of miles in the last couple of days. We picked a better route south than we did on the way up so that saved us some time. Back in Kent for the first time. Saw our good friend Vic! No wonder this guy was at the top of our thank you list last year. The minute we showed up it felt like we never left. Cold Fosters in a plastic bag and some sandwiges courtecy of Mrs. Vic. They were so good!!! The sound was awesome. Vic even broke out the subs for the gig. And of course lets not forget about all the remarks that come from that guy. Just like another member of the band. It was good to see you man. Thanx again for everything. We'll see you in August. It was also good to see all the people that didn't forget about us since last year and came down to show support. Thanx to Silent Minority and Shadow Aspect for playing. Huge thanx to Simon Philpott from The Lazarus Project for taking wicked pics once again. Make sure you check them out through a link below. I wish i could put up all of them but that would take me all day. Went to the Tap'n'Tin after the show for a few more juice. Thanx to Matt for letting us come in for free. PEACE MAY 13, 2006 - BISHOP AUKLAND @ THE BELVEDERE Miles:268 Talk about a long drive. Left Hertford after the show and stayed on the road till 3am. Crashed at a Moto and got back on the road first thing in the morning. Got to town pretty early and there wasn't much to do, so... Hello Tesco gin! I don't know what they put in that stuff but it goes right to the head. There has to be a reason why the gin is cheaper than the lemonade you mix it with. The show was amazing!!! So many people moshing and just having a good time. The beer was cheap as well which helps. The bands were wicked. Upon All, Battle For 13th, Utoxator and No Signal Input. It was a pleasure sharing the stage with you guys. Huge thanx to Vince and Clare for setting up the show. We had an awesome night. After the show we headed to the Castles for the afterparty. Thanx to everyone for making us feel so welcome. Bishop Aukland fucking rocks! Love that place. We'll be coming back some time in July. Keep checking the shows page for updates. See you all soon! PEACE MAY 12, 2006 - HERTFORD @ THE MARQUEE Miles:220 The return to Hertford was good. It was great to see some people from last year that came and supported us once again. Huge thanx to Ralph. Definitely one of the best sound engineers of the tour. Thanx to Kev for setting up the gig. Thanx to Elements of Refusal and Raiders of Rock'n'Roll for playing. Good times!!! Check out this awesome pic courtecy of Matt from Cambridge. Made me laugh. Thanx man!!! PEACE MAY 11, 2006 - PLYMOUTH @ THE HUB Miles:177 The show was cancelled. No comment. Thanx to Annie for the booking anyway. And thanx for the cookies, grapes and beer. PEACE MAY 10, 2006 - SOUTHAMPTON @ NEXUS Miles:173 Back to the shouth coast. Bournemouth to Bury to Southampton. Who booked this fucking tour? Oh wait... we did. Thats why they call us the 'show scavengers'. Drive anywhere just to play a gig. Nexus is a wicked venue. The sound was awesome on and off the stage. Thanx to the sound man for that (sorry i forgot the name). The show went ok except the place cleared out quite a bit as soon as people realized we aren't emo. It was a bit of a wrong crowd. Good times anyway. We played good and enjoyed every minute of it. Thanx to Rich from DMS for setting up the gig. Huge thanx to Steve for the free beers and letting us crash at the rehearsal space next door. Hopefully we can come back sometime in August. PEACE MAY 9, 2006 - BURY ST. EDMUNDS @ POT BLACK Miles:202 Back to Bury. Last time me and Binski got arrested in that town! We were kinda hoping for better luck this time. Jizzle mapped out a 'shortcut' to the city to save some time. That didn't go so well. We probably took the longest road possible. We made it to the venue a bit late but still got a chance to check out both opening bands. The turnout was... hmmmm... not so good. But it is a Monday night and we didn't expect much. Huge thanx to our Cambridge boys for coming down again and supporting us. Thanx to Jason and Ana for helping out with the show. And huge thanx to Rich that let us come back to his house for the night. It was sure nice to get clean after sweating every night for the past week. And thanx for the bacon sandwiches as well. PEACE MAY 8, 2006 - BOURNEMOUTH... 2 IN 1 Miles:237 So obviously we got here alive. The drive went smooth. Who needs brakes anyway? Got to Bournemout at 2:45 just in time for the acoustic gig. It went pretty smooth considering we haven't really had a chance to practice the acoustic show in quite a while. The vibe was great. It turned out to be just a small clothing shop. Quite a few people showed up too which was nice to see. Thanx to everyone that came out! Afterwards we packed up and headed to the Opera House. What a venue! This place is awesome. Big stage, big sound! Its the first time we got to really crank our gear. It felt good to be loud. Huge thanx to J for the wicked job on the sound. It makes a big difference. Big thanx to Dom for setting up both these gigs. And thanx for the FREE beer, water and pop. Thats the way promoters should treat the bands. Thanx to all the bands that played last night. I think you guys were all really good. Just a solid night of heavy music all together. Hopefully we'll get a chance to come back to Bournemouth some time in August again. PEACE MAY 7, 2006 - GOOD TIMES in Telford!!! Miles:131 THE DAY Well, things couldn't run smooth all the time. Not for us anyway. We were about 1 hour away from Telford when suddenly the van started shaking really bad. We had to pull over on the side of the road and call our good friends at RAC! Pouring rain out, what else is new. After a quick look at the van the RAC guy figured out that it was a siezed brake. The only way for us to get to Telford was to take the brake pad right out and drive without it. And so we did. What we were told is that its probably ok to get us to where we need to go today but to make sure the brake gets fixed next morning before the long drive to Bournemouth. The xact word were "You will kill yourselves if you attempt that drive." So off we went with that. Encouraging huh? THE NIGHT YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! Made it to Telford in one piece. Thats good news already. We knew we had a good night ahead of us because our boys from Newbreed were in charge of the night. Its always good times when those guys are involved. This felt like a homecoming gig. So many people that came to see us that we haven't seen since last year. Dead Man's Root opened up the night. We were up next. The crowd was awesome! Everyone showing support. Wicked crowd!!! Then came the Glitter Kittens... Couple of hot girls dancing on the stage to some good rock music. They didn't get naked (unfortunately) but they sure got everyone's attention at the place. Nice one!!! Excuse the foggy pictures by the way, but it got pretty hot in there. Then of course for the grand finale on came Newbreed. Wicked set boys! You guys sounded better than ever. Its awesome how you have the support of the whole town behind you. Just random people with Newbreed tattoos on them. Thats an accomplishement on its own. Then, off to the afterparty. I still don't know who's house were at but i don't think we left till 5am. Thanx for letting us hang out whoever you are. Huge thanx to Newbreed for having us. Thanx to everyone that came out and supported us. We'll see you guys next time. THE MORNING Do I even need to say that we didn't feel so hot at all in the morning. After barely 2 hours of "sleep" we had to hurry to Quick Fit to get the new brakes. Sure enough with our luck they didn't have the part. Surprize! We had to hurry to Bournemouth for the afternoon acoustic show. "You will kill yourselves if you attempt that drive." Thats the last thing the RAC told us. And with that in mind we got in the van and got on the road. Fingers crossed. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! Now since you're reading this you probably figured that we're not dead yet. PEACE MAY 6, 2006 - CAMBRIDGE @ MAN ON THE MOON Miles:136 Good to be back in Cambridge. I think one of the best things about this tour is that every place we show up there are people we know. Feels like every show is a homecoming gig. Its amazing how many friends we made last time on tour. The show went great. The amazing thing was watching everyone in the front singign along to the new songs that are up on the site. These tracks haven't even been released yet, yet people know them. Thanx everyone for making us feel so welcome. Thanx to Matt for hooking us up with the gig and for making the wicked poster. Don't forget to email me a copy of it soon. Thanx to Mudshark Interview, General Lee and Shiverbox for playing. And once again thanx to everyone moshing, headbanging and sceaming in the front. We love the energey we get from you guys. Off to Telford today. Show number four out of 12 gigs we're playing in UK. This one's guaranteed to be a wicked party. Why? Cause our boys from Newbreed set this show up and its always good times when those guys are around!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! Can't wait for the night. Gonna be great to share the stage with those guys again. Its been a while. And also, the Glitter Kittens will be there. Not sure exactly what it is they do but they look hot. I'll let you know tomorrow. If you live in the area don't miss this show!!! Time to go tear it up once again. PEACE MAY 5, 2006 - SWINDON @ AREA 51 Miles:200 Show number two! Got to the venue nice and early this time. Last time we were really late cause it took us forever to find the place. Thanx to the GPS System we have in the van a.k.a. McNizzow it was no problem at all. The show went great. Although the turnout wasn't huge, the people that were there made us feel awesome with all the moshing and headbanging in front of the stage. Much appreciated guys! We'll see you next time we're in Swindon on August 31 playing with Prometheus. Thanx for the free beers! And thanx to Amanda for hooking up the gig. PEACE MAY 4, 2006 - RHYL @ BAR BLU Miles:80 First show of the Tour!!! Been waiting for this day for a long time. The show went smooth. The gear we bought all works and everything sounds amazing. Nice to play through real gear again. It was good to see some old friends as well. Thanx to all you guys for coming out. It was good to know that some of the staff from Blu actually booked a day off because they saw us last time but never got a chance to get the full effect 'cause they were working. Thanx to Matt for doing a wicked job on the sound. Thanx to Steve for taking good care of us once again and for the beer tickets. They sure came in handy although I did not feel so hot this morning. Thanx to De-Mask for an awesome set. You guys were tight. Thanx to the guys across the street that made us those kebabs. They were great. Maybe because that was the only thing we ate in over 24 hours. And huge thanx to David and Paul from CD Duplicator for coming through with the CDs. Fast and reliable!!! Thats the way to do it boys. We'll see you guys soon. Off to Swindon today for another wicked night at Area 51! Our new number is 07856 323265. If you're calling from Canada dial 01144 7856 323265. HOLLA!!! Miles:1000 YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!! And the 'TILL DEATH DO US' TOUR has officially started. Binski and Jizzle got to the UK Monday and started hussling from the minute they landed. The new tour van (yet to be named) was dropped off for them right at the airport. The van is wicked!!! We get all the luxuries we missed out on last tour like power steering, working headlights, muffler, windows that stay up on their own and lets not forget about reverse gear. Oh how we miss you SlurPee ***RIP***. By the time McNizzow and I arrived next morning half the gear was already picked up and in the van. Soldiers on the move! Spent the whole day day driving around picking up the rest of the gear we bought off ebay. Didn't get the last piece of gear picked up till midnight yesterday. Almost a 1000 miles 36 hours. Now the puzzle is complete. We got the van, the gear, the music and the show! First night sleeping in a Tesco car park was awesome too. Just like the good old times. The first show of the Tour is tonight at Bar Blu in Rhyl. That place was amazing to us both times we were there and its gonna be a wicked way to kick things off. See some old friends and fans and make a ton of new ones. Picking up some CDs in Liverpool today and off we go to begin the battle. This is the next chapter in the ZEROSCAPE story! Stay tuned.
